August/31/08 11:13 Below find a scan of the “no on V” page from Save The Bay’s recent door hanger. It’s also on my resources page.

Look at the two most misleading statements (or lies depending on your view):

“Measure V is the developer’s ‘counter-measure’ placed on the ballot to confuse voters and undermine Measure W for the benefit of Cargill.”

David Lews was THERE, in the room, when homeowners asked over and over to have Measure V on the ballot. He KNOWS this is an untrue statement, yet they printed this and distributed it to Redwood City citizens. How completely SLEAZY is that? Can you trust a group that is MORE SLEAZY then Cargill?? WHERE is the integrity? I’ve seen a few misleading things printed by Cargill, but NOTHING this sleazy.

The truth is Measure V was placed on the ballot by the CITY COUNCIL, and Cargill had NOTHING to do with getting it on the ballot. I would be surprised if Cargill endorsed Measure V!

“Measure V is a blank check for traffic and massive development, opening the door for Cargill’s plans to build thousands of units on baylands.”

Measure V forces a vote on ANY development of Cargill property. HOW is that a “blank check?” How is that “opening the door?” What is wrong with Save The Bay, that they feel they need to MISLEAD the public? Maybe they agree with me... the TRUTH is not in their favor!

It sure appears that Save The Bay is SLEAZY and DESPERATE. They don’t have truth on their side, so they decide to go the SLEAZE route and MISLEAD people. I wouldn’t buy a used car from these people anymore. I don’t understand what went wrong with them.

Why would Friends of Redwood City, a group who has a history of good work, team up with these people? I don’t get it.
